Babylonia (bab-i-loh-nee-uh) A nation northeast of Israel in Mesopotamia. Babylonia was Israel's enemy who defeated Jerusalem and took the people away as prisoners. Bethlehem A town about five miles southwest of Jerusalem. Bethlehem was the hometown of King David and the birthplace of Jesus.
